Getting started

From install to first sale.

Follow this sequence once. You can return to the theme editor at any time without touching code.

Install Modebook

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Add Modebook from the Theme Store or upload the ZIP supplied for testing.
  3. Open the theme editor and keep the theme unpublished while you configure it.
Safe workflow: duplicate your live theme before publishing a major redesign.

Set the brand foundation

Open Theme settings to add the favicon, select body and display fonts, set paired background/text colors, choose page width, and tune spacing. The Full width page option keeps banners and structural bands edge-to-edge while content retains a readable gutter.

Assign your main and footer menus in the Header and Footer sections. Modebook supports nested navigation: top-level links, child groups, and grandchild links. Use a Mega-menu promotion block when a top-level label needs an image-led campaign link.

Prepare the catalog

Add accurate product titles, descriptions, vendors, variants, pricing, inventory, and media. For collection and search filters, configure the Shopify Search and Discovery app. Add collection descriptions and images for stronger landing pages.

Launch checklist

  • Test at least one purchase flow on mobile and desktop.
  • Check available, sold-out, sale, subscription, and gift-card products.
  • Confirm shipping, taxes, markets, currencies, languages, and pickup.
  • Test search, filters, sorting, customer accounts, and contact forms.
  • Review alt text, keyboard focus, legal pages, and notification emails.
  • Remove the storefront password only when the store is ready.
